Charles Thompson Foundation
Built the digital home for a non-profit honouring Charles Koblah Thompson MBE — a platform that turns his legacy into applications, mentorships and funded places for young African creatives.

Turning a legacy into a working platform
The Charles Thompson Foundation exists to honour Charles Koblah Thompson MBE — CEO of Screen Nation and the foundation's namesake — by developing creative talent across Africa. Quube built the foundation's digital home around a single idea taken from their own words: a legacy is not what you leave behind, but what you inspire others to create. Rather than a static memorial page, we designed a site that converts intent into action: prospective students can apply to programmes, professionals can offer mentorship, and supporters can fund or equip a cohort.
Ten programmes, one clear path in
The foundation trains young creatives across a wide curriculum, and the site had to make that breadth legible without overwhelming a first-time visitor. We structured the experience so every programme leads to the same clear next step:
- Programme areas spanning graphic design, photography, cinematography, film making and music production
- Professional development tracks in creative entrepreneurship, digital media, content creation, creative mentorship and portfolio development
- An explicitly inclusive entry point — the foundation accepts complete beginners alongside working professionals upgrading their skills
- A single-page architecture with anchored sections, so the whole story can be read in one scroll on a phone
Built for a non-profit's real constraints
Non-profits need a site that works on modest devices and modest connections, and that gives every kind of supporter somewhere to go. We built distinct paths for the foundation's five engagement types — enrol, volunteer, mentor, donate equipment or funds, and sponsor a training cohort — and carried their eight core values of excellence, integrity, innovation, empowerment, collaboration, inclusion, leadership and legacy through the visual language rather than listing them as an afterthought.
